Spring
Months of emptiness have come to a close, A silent, dreary contentment rumbling inside my heart---gone. We've broken, perhaps, pieces lost but in your hands I've found healing. In the pain you so carefully tie 'round my heart, I've come alive; I am the forest, razed in hopes of stirring life. And I burned. I burned.
A shell turned inside out to glimmer under the sunlight. Am I your pearl, found deep within the belly of the sea? Will this hard knot of sunshine burn your hands?
Hibernation has come to an end and like the bear I yawn--cracking jaws--cracking bones-- inhaling the sweet bliss of spring in the air. I can move again: yes yes -- these are my arms my paws my eyes. I hunger, voracious for life, for this love we've fostered so carefully between our hearts. It is time to feast. Time to breathe again.
We are withered, perhaps, but our roots have gone deep, and life has come again: its time to reach out entwining our souls, our roots, our fingers: my hand tight in yours, stepping forward into the light
