Always good to have a thread like this in a writing forum. Simply enough, tips for writing.
Things that one would find in a thread like this:
Questions about certain grammatical or contextual items. Questions about writing process in general. Answers to those questions. Things you do when you write. Things you do that you think would help other people out. General things you know (and perhaps notice other people not doing) Other things that are writing related that you want to share!
To start off, the advice I always get when I don't ask for it: "Always write every day. It doesn't matter what you write, or if you "feel" like writing, but you should always write. Stop thinking of writing as a hobby, and think of it as a job. If you are a bus driver, you can't wake up and think "hm, I have bus-drivers block and I'm just not motivated to drive today." You have to haul yourself out of bed and drive the damn bus."
(note that I don't always fallow this advice, but I'm getting better.)
Quick, go go go.
